All About Me!

Hola, Xin chà, kamusta, kia ora, Malolele, Talofa Lava, Kia Orana and welcome to all. My name is Ocean Selwyn aka Vaiine. I am a year 8 currently attending Glen Taylor School primary. I am 12 years of age and my nationality is Samoan, Maori.
Hobby's- Some things i love to do is create inspirational quote posters (mixed quotes put into one poster), play musical interments such as a guitar, piano and violin. I enjoy cooking, chorography(dancing), listening to music in quiet areas and eating!

Goals-Some aspects for this years highlights are to challenge myself and making Sure my mind is set to one thing at a time. having a positive attitude/vibe towards my surrounding, making sure everyone feels happy and has lots of fun! and make sure to be a role model towards our younger GTS students.

Inspiration- people who inspired me till this very day would be Tupac (talks about life and how to keep it real though my ups and downs) Kriszeta (aunty aka Jehovah) and my family/friends. all theses people helped me through out my life,they never gave up on me, always found a way for me to smile and was always there no matter what!

Ocean pride

Talofa lava, Kia ora and no mai haere mai my name is Ocean i am 9 years old. I  am Samoan and Maori and I go to Glen Taylor school.

My favorite activity to do here is create blog posts, play sports and have fun. I mostly enjoy school and other things like sleeping after a big day, eating a lot and doing learning The reason why I like to do these things is because  it helps me to reach to a higher standard and because i sometimes get bored. I got inspired on my writing, reading and maths by my teacher Miss Litchfield and my parents. The reason why I never give up in my learning and at school is because I keep on trying and I do my best. Things that I am good at is singing, dancing & being a drama queen. I enjoy spending time with my family, parents and siblings. My goals for this year is being better in basketball and my learning.

For this year I look forward in achieving all my goals that I have not achieved last year like bonding with my classmates, working as a group, having to not play around and learning more.

The Thing Under The Bridge

Room 7 has been learning how to write descriptive writing here is one i wrote.

R7 students sat quietly, waiting for their teacher to return to the classroom after  playtime.

Outside there was students screaming in fear because  a German shepherd  dog came. Mr herlihy told all the students to go into class all the kids went inside. They were all shocked that a dog came some were scared of dogs and the other ones were trying to get outside to pat it so I stopped them. Meanwhile Mr Victor was trying to get to R7 but the dog was chasing after him so he went back in the staff. Mr Herlihy tried to call the owner but the dog bit up the cord for all contact then the dog came to R10 trying to get into the class. The dog was scratching the door  trying to make its way through, then the dog got tired. After trying to get inside the class, the dog suggested to run around at the back the dog saw R8’s window open so the dog jumped through it and was scaring the students. Mateo grabbed his stick and whacked it on the dog while Mr Shanks was running to R7  then all the students were too including Mateo. R7 said to Mr Shanks why is R8 in here because the German shepherd is in our class Mateo said in a angry way then R10 quietly and quickly to R7. The owner came to Glen Taylor School Mr Herlihy said it's about time thank you we have been looking for him all day my kids have been worried no don’t tank me thank the school  for all we know it was just here for fun cuse the kids actually love him well the dog can stay here for one day thanks to them .

Last term room 7 has been doing dioramas with our reviler teacher Ms Samson. The first thing we had to do was plan our dioramas before making it. My one was a waterfall were it leads to a pond for my diorama i needed green paper, cotton wool, card broad, blue cellophane, blue paper, and yellow paper. it toke up most of my free time but at less i finished it.
