a moment it time outside

I heard cicadas squeaking loudly above my head.

I heard cracking branches as i carefully climbed the tree.

I saw birds & bees way way high above my head.

I saw a view of kids playing as i climbed the tree.

I felt little bugs on my back as i slowly came down from the tree.

I felt strange things on the branches as i climbed.

I was extremely scared as i hopped onto a thin branch.

I wondered if i could climb higher then T.J.

I wondered if there were any baby eggs in a nest.

    The Leopard

As the sun rises, he gets ready for his morning hunt. His mind is thinking of what he is going to catch today. He runs to the opened land of horizon a country with  heaps of watering holes and long, golden wheat and green grass. As he runs to the open he quietly crawls though the grass and lays low until his prey arrives, he sees his prey and then he pounces towards his bruncher (breakfast, lunch and dinner). He is so fast someone or something looks at him and at a blink of an eye his is long gone. He sinks his sharp teeth deeply into his preys leg and the prey slowly knocks down to the ground and starts dying slowly as if every breath he or she takes his or her life depends on it. The prey is now dead lying on the floor, the leopard takes a big bite of his success and other animals of his kind comes and feast on his victory. As the night falls he runs back to his home and jumps to his rock witch is his bed and slowly closes his eyes until the next day arrives……….

My life disappearing

Wolves are dangerous because they can eat and kill you or your family. When you see a wolf don’t run, make yourself look scary and don’t turn your back on wolves. Wolves like to eat  anything to do with meat like deer, goat, moose and hares. Younger wolves do not overthrow the “ alpha” to become the leader of the pack as wolf pups grow older they are dispersed from their parents, packs,pair off with other dispersed wolves, have pups, and thus form packs of their own. Things you need to kill a wolf, shotgun, bear trap and poison meat.

New blog post about a cats moment in time

I saw little mice and big rats running around me as i turned my head.

I saw the bright moon shining in front of my eyes.

I heard noises that sound like 15 or 14 year old teens talking.

I heard cars slowly parking into their driveways.

I smelt yuck smoke coming from my owners chimney and other chimneys.  

I smelt dead rotten rats and fish bones.

I tasted the delicious bones of a fish with a little bit of meat.

I tasted yummy cat cookies that my owner gave me like it was gold.

I wondered if my owner's kids are still sleeping.

I wondered if i really have 9 lives or just 1.

Today room 10, 9 and 8 visited some of the staff members of Kelly Tarltons sea life aquarium. we learnt about how turtles die because they think that plastic bags are jelly fish and they like jelly fish, we even got to touch some sea animals but not real ones

Today room 10 went on a trip to pack'nsave to talk about healthy choices. 

Shipwreck In Antarcitca

Wintry and cold night, struggling to fight with the dark and snow.53 men felling nerves as they leave there loved ones. Taking a deep breath as they slowly walk into the ship, hoping if they will ever come back. BAM BAM the sound of them leaving to somewhere they will probable never come back called Antarctica. Half way into the freezing water a blizzard comes killing 52 men. One succeeds with cuts on his arm and legs and a bleeding head.He stays in the ship for a little while then set of trying to find other survivors if they are alive, but before that he goes to find survival things like aid kit, food,knife, worm clothes and blanket, flair gun and lighter. Then of he goes on his journey, seeing if he will ever return to his beloved ones. After, along comes a polar bear. It give the man an evil look as if it were going to eat him. He stands there for 3 sec's with a sign, when he signed the polar bear run's and roars. BOOM he grabs his gun and shots. It turns dark and cold, the man shavses the poler bears skin and uses it to make a firer with his lighter. He eats the polar bear he killed and cooked, then he lies down and slowly closes his eyes wanting for the next day. TO BE CONTINUED....

Topic Healthy choices-reflection with Miss Bedisi

This term Glen taylor had a topic. it was healthy choices. Room 10 had done the topic but our one was about healthy choices well shopping. Rm 10 had to split into 2 groups and grab a piece of A5 paper and a countdown newspaper. The first thing we had to do was pick 10 or less healthy food, cut it out and glue it on to our A5 paper. Aaliyah who was my partner and I had choices 10 items it was pineapple, pineapple fruit salad, mixed veggies, bananas, avocado, bread, eggs, butter, yoghurt and vegetables and fruit juice. We chose these because we could make eggs on toast with butter and avocado. When i made the eggs on toast with butter and avocado i could smell the crisp from the toast of the crust, i could taste the egg as the yolk was dripping from the side of the toast and could see the avocado as i grabbed the butter knife and buttered it slowly so i could get the whole toast covered in avocado. The egg on toast was delicious and yum for me and Aaliyah if it were real. The total of the shopping was $31.00. Aaliyah and I had a budget and it was $30.00 or $20.00 but we were wrong it was higher. I really had a great time shopping on Countdown newspaper. I also had some help with a few friends.  The things i like about healthy food is making food out of it. One thing i would like to know is how many 8 healthy food can you name with the letter B.









Hints: banana, bread pudding, bread fruit, beans, bread, butter, beef, banana pudding.

What i did last night

Last night i stayed home with my mum,dad,uncle,aunt and nana we went to pack'n save to go and by junk to watch the movies we bought. The movies where Peter rabbit, Skyscraper, Ocean's 8, Avengers-Infinity war, Transylvania, A quiet place and Jurassic park-fallen kingdom. we go the bed ready so we could settle in then the first movie we watched was ocean's 8. Then we had popcorn,chocolate, fizzy and lollies. It was so so so fun and it was the best night ever.   

At mangere Hospital with aunt

On the holidays i went to mangere hospital with my aunt because she had a sore tummy. This was on the first week of the holidays on thursday. Well i was there i hooked up to the wifi and jammed on yt and played games on friv. I liked it there because of the wifi.

                                    A Cat's Moment In Time

Last last last Monday on the 6th of June room 10 had created a drawing that had three cats on a fence with pumpkins at the back of the fence. I enjoyed painting the punkins and fence because we also go to write a story that we felt like one of the cat's and what we would smell, taste, hear, see and do. The thing i found frustrating was painting the cats cause i could not see the out lines. I want to do more drawings with Ms Wrack because we draw fun, cool and interesting drawings.

Dog Visit

On Thursday the 28th of June the middle and junior cinderket went for a visit to the dog's in the hall. At first some of the students where scared of dog's but mostly all of room 10 was not. the dog's names were Freggy and Chase. The dog's owners names were Nick and Mishal. the first thing we did was learn three golden rules 1. ask the owners permission to touch the dog's the 2. one was to touch the dog's on there back and side and the 3. one was to stand like a tree when a dog runs after you. The dogs were tamed so they would not run up to you and bit. The junior's went in the first block then room 8 went in the second block and room 9 and 10 went both together in the last block. The thing i liked about the dog's was that they were tamed and we got to pat them. I liked it because they were soft when we patted them and because they were kind.

 

Favourite part of term 2

my favourite part of term 2 is what i have enjoyed and why. The reason  i have enjoyed term 2 is because we got to do fun stuff like brack old chromes and see what was in it with miss wrack.

Today Rm 10 had done a challenge it was to make a paper plane. Rm 10 did there different ways of making the paper plane.

These are my favourite food because it tastes so nice and these are mostly yum.

Floating bridge - kiwi kids news

An artist Christo has created and floating bridge which will allow people to cross over. Christo said the people should feel like there walking on a back of a whale.

Learning With Constable Tania

         On thursday room 10 had did art with constable tania.  

Experience Making Play-doh

Things room 10 loved to do.
* Knead the Play-doh.
*Help Miss Wrak make the play-doh.
*Put the ingredients in.
* and play with it.


Room 10 got split into 3 groups. I was in the 3rd group. My group was quite good but sometimes they would want to touch the play-doh when we were not supposed to unlike the other group they didn't even touch a single bit. I notested the more you stir the more the play-doh gets thicker. When I first touched the play-doh it felt like it was a soft kitten and when I knead the play-doh it also felt like a soft kitten. My experience of the play-doh was how to make the play-doh and knead it. This Experience and day really tort me a lesson and it was to make it and have fun with your hard work that you have created.

Ocean pride

Talofa lava, Kia ora and no mai haere mai my name is Ocean i am 9 years old. I  am Samoan and Maori and I go to Glen Taylor school.

My favorite activity to do here is create blog posts, play sports and have fun. I mostly enjoy school and other things like sleeping after a big day, eating a lot and doing learning The reason why I like to do these things is because  it helps me to reach to a higher standard and because i sometimes get bored. I got inspired on my writing, reading and maths by my teacher Miss Litchfield and my parents. The reason why I never give up in my learning and at school is because I keep on trying and I do my best. Things that I am good at is singing, dancing & being a drama queen. I enjoy spending time with my family, parents and siblings. My goals for this year is being better in basketball and my learning.

For this year I look forward in achieving all my goals that I have not achieved last year like bonding with my classmates, working as a group, having to not play around and learning more.

My Weekly Summery-Hanging out west

Though out the weeks i have not been at school. I have been out west Te Atatu with my papa Nga, Auntie Moana and my mum Tamara. The things i do out there is my school work sometimes watch Yotube and play friv or cool games. My fav things i like to do over there is fishing with my papa, going to the movies every Friday with my auntie and hanging out with my mum at rainbow's end  every Wednesday.

Holidays-going to the movies

In the holidays i my mum, dad and brothers went to the cinemas in Silva park to watch rampage. it came out on April 12th. the rampage movie was so cool that i nearly drank all my mum's drink.

Today at Glen Taylor School we had a very special guest coming to talk about reading his name was Marcus Duffy Back inn the days he was known as a New Zealand criminal but theses days he is now known as a Duffy helper.

Culture Festival

Last Thursday, Glen Taylor School had Culture Festival. all the dance's were good but some of the student's from different groups got brunt because it was a very hot day.

    today is muffy day for Glen Taylor school.the theme is island style, we are fundraising for Fiji because they got hit by a cicerone and does not have that much money to re-build there village.

Room 10's work

This year Room 10 has been catching up on swimming, Turbo touch, tests & learning. For term 1 we did tests like Maths, writing & reading also we had culture festival. For team 2,3&4 we had to do even more test but more tests led to success.
