My suggestion for this activity, would be to change air pollution, global warming and contaminated water.
Air Pollution:
air pollution is killing several civilians
poisoning people
illness
people been sent to Hospital
solution:
transport on either bicycles or walk to your destination
stop bonfires
stop smoking
Global warming:
melting 45% of antarctica
polar bears struggling to find somewhere cold
solution:
turn off unused lights
use less power in household
Contaminated water:
rubbish been threw into fresh clean water
killing sea animals almost everyday
solution:
raise price on plastic bags etc, $1 for plastic bag
stop dumping oil into water

gender pay gap
Fiao’o Fa’amausili was the captain of the New Zealand (NZ) Black Ferns, our national women’s rugby team, until 2018. The Black Ferns have been a very successful team, winning the Women’s Rugby World Cup a record five times.
Wow! Despite this success, the Black Ferns have only recently become ‘professional’ rugby players who are paid to play rugby. Although they are paid, the Black Ferns make less money than members of the men’s professional rugby team - the All Blacks.
This difference in pay is often called the ‘gender pay gap’ and it is not uncommon in sports. What do you think about this? Is it fair? Should female athletes, like the Black Ferns, be paid the same amount as male athletes who play the same sport?
I think it is fair for women athletes to get paid the same amount of money as the men athletes.
Why? because for starters women put more effort in winning than men do, reason 2 cause its not fair that men get paid more and 3 because like the black ferns they won the rugby world cup records five times , that's like putting all their hard work and effort into it.
Day 2 task 1-4 similes
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is a world famous athlete (sprinter). She currently holds the record for the 100m sprint and has been crowned “world’s fastest woman” a record four times!
Shelly-Ann was born and educated in Jamaica, a small country in the Caribbean that has produced many successful athletes and sportspeople. During her college years she did well in athletics, winning the Jamaican Schools Championships at the age of 16. She subsequently went on to win many races at both the Olympics and the World Championships. Over the years people have compared her running speed and that of other elite sprinters, like Usain Bolt, to many things, including animals!
When people make these comparisons, they often say things like: “Shelly-Ann is as fast as a cheetah” or “Shelly-Ann is fast like a fighter jet”. These comparisons are examples of similes. In many cases, similes are not exactly true
David is as fast as a blink of an eye
Ocean is as tall as a tree
Liston is as small as me
Mrs Fonua is as beautiful as a model
Our task today, was to create 4 similes of either me (myself) or someone else.
Task 3-BFG
Have you ever seen or heard a giant before?, would you like to see one?, Are giants nice or mean?.
The Big Friendly Giant is as big as you can dream. His ears are like two elephants smashed into one. He had a nose as long and as big as Pinocchio. his legs are as hairy as Hairy Maclary, and his legs are nearly as tall as a tree. H smells as if he had never knew how to take a shower. He has a face of and old man but talks like a tough boy. At night when your asleep he watches you until you awake then he disappears into the bitter cold. He lives in a cave three mountains away living all by himself. Sometimes the BFG would visit a young girl named Sophie so he had somebody to talk to.
Here is what i think he looks like.

This term, the Middle syndicate had been switching classes to see what other classes have been learning about. This week room 9 moved to room 10 just for the syndicate swap. We learnt about Diwali and the meaning of Diwali, here is some things we learnt.
1. Don't be surprised when people come knocking on your door with treats, it most likely for an indian to come to the door and provide indian treats.
2. Make sure to decorate your front door path with indian sand just to welcome guests and the spirit of Rangoli.
3. If you would like to be apart of Diwali make sure to wake up early, and head to the temples. because if you go late it will be packed.

Science exhibition walkthrough :)
Today, all of Glen Taylor got ready for the Science exhibition walkthrough. We went around the whole of glen taylor school grounds.
As for us, we started of with room 10's exhibition. Some things i liked about it was there enormous tiger cause of it's colorful effect around its fur and another one was the danger of broken electricity.
When we caught up to the seniors, i just got blown away by what they have created, but my favorite on was the candy apples and crystals which was rm 13.
I Will definitely go there to learn. LOL
