Identity (who i am and where i come from)

Hello, my name is Ocean Selwyn Marley Willson.

I am half Maori and half Samoan. My Mum comes from West Auckland, Te Atatu and she is Maori. My dad comes from South Auckland, Otara and his nationality is Samoan.

I was born on June the 9th 2008, in Mangere Hospital at 4:25 AM on a Sunday Morning. I grew up in East Auckland, Mangere and stayed there for a couple of years then moved to Glendowie, and made a whole lot of friends in that past couple of years.

Along with my other two brothers, one sister (who currently is a newborn) and my other brother who was also born here but was adopted by my aunty *Charlie* cause she couldn't have any kids. I also had a couple of other siblings that were born here as well but shortly passed away, Even if they had lived I am still the oldest.

When growing up here in East Auckland, I experienced that being generous and kind can really change alot for the person you or I was generous to.

When my mother (Tamara Thompson) was born, she had two dads, so that meant I had two grandpas. Anyways, shortly after her birth, her other sister Mariah Pairi was born. Then a couple of years later my other aunty was born which was Autumn Pairi. A couple of years later my uncle Adam Awheto was born, then another couple of years later my other unty Zeta Awheto was born. And that's where my mom's life cycle of siblings ended.

But before all of that, my other aunty was born, Charlie Thompson.

Now, moving on to my dad's side, I never really knew his family. The only person I met on his side of the family, oh actually 2 people i was really close with, were his nan and his sister. I never knew their names so I would often call them Nan and Aunty. But he had way more siblings than my mum. So that was that.

Thanks for reading.
